The OHS Chess Club swept the high school division of the MLK Scholastic Chess Tournament on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, as Gage Parker, Hunter Ballard, and Austin Jones finished one-two-three. Oxford also won the team trophy in the high school division. This was Gage Parker's third number one finish in a tournament this year!

This is the second team trophy won by the OHS team this year--the first one earned at the Dancing Knights Scholastic Tournament on Nov. 11, 2017, at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

OHS Chess Club will host the next area tournament on Saturday, Feb. 3, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
